Back in July we found ourselves flying across the country to the beautiful (and mostly sunny) state of California. We were making our way to one of our most anticipated weddings of 2014! Palos Verdes holds one of the most beautiful resorts I think we’ve ever laid our eyes on. Terranea Resort & Spa was where Rob & Jessica decided to tie the knot, and we were SO excited to be a part of their day! As we arrived Saturday morning we were greeted by lovely little “casita’s” where each of the two were getting ready. Family & friends flew in from near and far for these two to watch them say their “I do’s” during an outdoor ceremony that overlooked the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Although, when you think of California, you may remember that is gets.. oh.. roughly 390 days of sunshine (out of the 365 of course.) However, this day began to prove us wrong! It wasn’t much, but this part of California had not gotten any rain in months. Right before the ceremony, tiny drops of water began falling from the sky. While most Californian’s were probably alarmed, everyone at the wedding decided to take it as a blessing!
The reception followed shortly after in one of the resorts beautiful venues, The Catalina Room. Live music, beautiful decor, and a stunning couple made this party one to remember!
Rob and Jessica were one of the most easy going and down to earth couples we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It goes to prove that a love like theirs is something that should be treasured and looked greatly upon! We’re so glad we were able to experience such a monumental day in their lives.
Check out the “raddest" trailer of one of the coolest couples we’ve ever met: Rob & Jessica.

To begin with saying that Erik and Kimmy were “super awesome people,” just wouldn’t cut it. From the moment we met them until the very end of their wedding day, they proved to be two of the nicest and funniest people we’ve met! They are clearly 100% meant to spend the rest of their lives together eating pasta for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Right, guys?;))
The day started and ended at the beautiful Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, NY. We couldn’t have asked for a better day while we strolled around the golf course, watched them shout to each other about how happy they are to get married, and then soon after say “I do.”
The night ended indoors under a low lit, beautiful chandelier and live band.
We’re stoked that these two fell in love and decided to tie the knot! Just remember, Erik, always give 110%.. even when injured!

Brad and Sara were married at Oak Hill Farm up near Galena, IL. The place was something out of a fairytale! There is an incredible story behind it that you can read here.
With a few Draft Horses on hand, Oak Hill Farm only seemed fitting for this couple celebrating their wedding during the Kentucky Derby! Everyone was a huge fan, so we couldn’t help but make that evident in their wedding film! This group was such a blast to hangout with, and we’re so honored to be able to give them this piece of their wedding to hold on to for the rest of their lives. Ending the night with an auction of the garter, there couldn’t have been a more special moment to share with their friends and family. We’re sure that their “someday, two children” will love watching mom and dad on their most perfect wedding day! :)

Amongst a world of troubles and tribulations, grows one of the most inspiring love stories you’ll ever hear.
Nolan Keane was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme, a certain type of brain cancer that unfortunately grows very quickly. He was diagnosed at the age of 24 and has fought hard to beat the odds. Nolan is now 28.
Living only one moment at a time, they cherish every minute that they have together. Nolan proposed to Morgan at Disney Land just recently, and it was their dream to be married. Seemingly impossible because of medical bills, a community of people from near and far donated their time, money, and efforts for one of the most touching weddings to ever take place.
As soon as I heard the story of these two, I knew we had to be a part of it. Keith and I, amongst a ton of other local vendors, came together on March 9, 2013 to set up and prepare for a dream wedding.
If you want to read more about this amazing couple, please visit their facebook page at Nolanwins Wedding
I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to all of the vendors and people that donated all that they had to make the day happen. It was truly amazing to see all of the vendors come together to make something SO beautiful.

March 9, 2013 was not just another Saturday wedding for Keith and I. It was so much more than that. It was an introduction to a story of a couple that long to be with one another no matter the circumstances. It was the day that I had the opportunity to be introduced to two people that would forever change the way I see my own personal relationship. It was the day that I was inspired to be a better person. We are forever grateful.

It was our second to last wedding for 2012. Going out with a bang in good ‘ol downtown Chicago…
Keith and I made our way up to the windy city and arrived by early afternoon. We were to meet Bryan & Miranda at the Public Hotel while they were getting prepared to see one another for the first time.
I could brag all day long about how amazing the hotel was, but when we first met Miranda in the room, the hotel quickly just became another plus to what the whole day was about to become.
We knew already through email that it was going to be an awesome wedding with a couple that would truly stand out to us.
Boy were we right..
After following B&M and their bridal party around the lake, we ventured to Carnivale which is located right in the heart of downtown. This would be the place they would call one another husband and wife, and share their first dance.
Their ceremony took place in a room not only full of color, but full of people that were there to witness one of the biggest days of their lives. It was really a beautiful thing to be a part of.
The reception followed soon after in the same spot. The DJ did an awesome job of keeping everyone on their feet. The best part was that 90% of the songs that were chosen, have now turned out to be some of MY favorites! So thanks a lot, lovebirds.

Two thousand twelve proved to be nothing shy of incredible for us. It was a year of many firsts for Keith and I. We’ve filmed alongside some pretty amazing couples to say the least… including these two lovebirds!
This was our first Tennessee wedding. We ended up driving down to Memphis the night before, of course, listening to almost every Dave Ramsey show off of our phones. We love road trips as much as the next young couple, but when Dave Ramsey is involved.. it just turns things into a real party!
We met up with Jada and her maid of honor at a super cute salon located downtown. For us, we don’t always get to meet the couple before the wedding day, and when I first saw the adorable (and super good lookin’) bride-to-be getting her hair and make up done, I knew this was going to be well worth the drive!
The ceremony was in a beautiful church that was also located downtown. So full of life and character! Everything ran smoothly and “Benjada” sealed the deal with a kiss and a rad get away carriage!
We arrived shortly after at Autozone Park. The reception was hoppin’ with a live band and yummy hors d’oeuvres. The lovely couple enjoyed dancing late into the night, while Keith and I had the chance to film outside in the ballpark.
We’re beyond happy to have had the opportunity to spend the day with Ben & Jada. We really had a ball (pun intended)!

This was the first Greek wedding for us here at Forward Motion, and it was a blast! Aleko Kate are an awesome couple full of jokes and laughter. You couldn’t go a conversation without someone in the bridal party cracking a joke.
They were married in Chicago at a small church packed with friends and family. There was not one seat open, with people also standing up in the balcony wherever they could find room. As Aleko’s brother said: “In the Greeks, when there is a celebration, the whole village comes to celebrate”, and that was very true for them - this was the place to be!
We had such a fun time with this couple. Watching them say their personal vows to one another during their first look, to them walking together as husband and wife for the first time, and even our first time to see a bride spill champaign on herself in the bus as she screams and laughs at the same time.
We hope you enjoy this couple as much as we did!

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to marry Pinterest? Well this would be it.
Christopher and Rebecca are such an awesome couple. When we first received their wedding invitation, we knew this was going to be quite the crafty wedding. We showed up to film their day and I was greeted by Christopher at the door with a loud, exciting, “WELCOME! COME IN!” with one had on the door, and a big hand gesture showing the way in - this sparked the way we were going to film this wedding… this was going to be fun.
From Rebecca going over her vows to make sure they were perfect, to the guys turning to YouTube on “how to tie a bow tie”. We noticed the bridesmaids piling on top of one another to watch Chris & Rebecca’s first look through the window, and Jack, their dog, having to take a (short) break from rolling in the grass to take photos. Not to mention the wedding guests accidentally burning holes in their paper lanterns and watching them roll away on fire… so many great things happened on this day!
The one thing you are so worried about with an outdoor wedding happened. Right before the ceremony we had a crazy downpour. We were all running around getting things inside, setting up for the ceremony in the reception site, then thankfully the rain stopped. We moved back outside, which was great for how much work Rebecca put into the decorations.
Rebecca is one crafty bride. All the decorations were made by her, and as her dad explained during his toast, her apartment was packed full of decorations she made for the wedding and others that were in the process of being completed.
We hope you enjoy this Wedding Trailer as much as us!

Tyler & Breanna were such a wonderful couple to work with! They both were full of energy and love on their wedding day. We usually don’t pick fast-paced songs for our wedding trailers, but we wanted to fit the feeling and energy they had with music.
Tyler got ready with all his groomsmen in their hotel room. Imagine 10-15 plus guys in one room, watching baseball, and a lot of things that didn’t make the film for good reason, haha! We could tell that they were going to be a fun couple to work with.
Tyler and Breanna got married at the Kickapoo Creek Winery in Kickapoo, IL. We were blessed with great weather! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a wonderful reception - talk about a dance party!
Tyler & Breanna, we wish you two the best! Thank you for letting us be a part of this great day.

What an incredible event with Amy Grant this was! Dream Center Peoria is one of those places in the Central, IL that is really making a difference in this community. We’re so glad to be able to document just a small glimpse of what they do on a daily basis.
Dream Center Peoria and Amy Grant joined forces to put together one incredible night to help raise money to support DCP in what they’re doing, and to honor “History Makers” in this community. On this night, DCP honored former Mayor, Jim Maloof and all that he’s done.
Amy Grant and some of her closest friends and family came up from Nashville, TN to put on this private show for the Maloof family and guest for absolutely free. All the miles, time and effort was done for no cost at all - talk about an amazing artist!
This was for sure an unforgettable night. This night was filled with hope and dreams for the future of Dream Center Peoria and a community coming together to make a difference.

I’d like to introduce you to Frank & Beth…
We had the honor of traveling out to Estes Park, CO to meet this wonderful couple! For anyone who has been to Estes Park, the view as you drive down the mountain with the water surrounding you, and the mountains reflecting off the water is quite breathtaking.
We ended up coming back a couple days later to experience it completely.
Frank Beth had a small, beautiful wedding outside of the Della Terra. This venue was amazing! We were right in the side of the mountains. Frank & Beth also had an awesome pastor officiate them. He really brought life to the ceremony - as you can tell when he was messing with frank and his purple shoes during their vows. You can’t go wrong with that!
We had a great time with this couple and family, and were so glad we were a part of it.

This shoot was a little different for us compared to our normal full day shoot. With how the day was laid out, we ended up only filming the ceremony and reception, and getting reception preps for the wedding trailer. Thankfully there was SO much detail in the reception, that we didn’t have a hard time coming up with content for their film! Chris & Maureen were married at the beautiful St. Mary’s Catholic church in Peoria, IL. This was our first time filming here - the building and architecture is quite breath taking!
The reception was held at the Oberhelman’s residence next to their house. There were two tents set up; one (air conditioned) tent for the reception, and one cocktail hour tent. They had a pond just past the tents with tiki torches inside the water, which was pretty neat! This was also our first wedding where we had to check in with security before parking. Thankfully we were on the list ;) We all ended the night with a huge, beautiful fireworks show right beyond their pond.
We hope you enjoy their film!

Where do you start with this couple… We fell in love with Justin Adrianne ever since they sent us their invite for their wedding that included a photo of them together.
We filmed a Love Story for them early this year, and got to spend some time with the two of them. At that point, we knew they were going to hold a very special place in our hearts. You can view their Love Story here: Justin & Adrianne // Love Story
Justin Adrianne got married at Wildlife Prairie Park in Peoria, IL. This was our first wedding here, and we were very excited for the animals, and of course their wedding :) I think if you were to sum up their wedding in one word it would be “perfect”. I’m not sure what it was about this couple, but when we were done with the day, we were speechless. The amount of love, support, and laughter that was shared between them and their friends and families was inspiring. They have inspired us to be better people, to love each other more each day, and to never say never (go justin bieber).
We hope you enjoy this couple as much as we do, and that their wedding would inspire you to love your spouse, fiance / fiancee, and family more.

We’ve had the honor of being a part of two of the biggest days of the Maher family’s lives. Last October, we filmed Scott and Mallory’s wedding day at the Maher Farm. You can watch their trailer here: I love this guy // Scott Mallory.
After being a part of their wedding, we fell in love with this family! They were so nice and loving. The joy between this family was so contagious, we never wanted to leave! Thankfully, this year we were contacted by Mallory asking if we’d be available to film her sisters wedding - and we couldn’t pass this up!
Ben & Shawna got married in downtown Des Moines, IA. They planned to get married at the Simon EstesAmphitheater. It’s a beautiful place, and we were so excited to film their ceremony here! Not to mention Ben & Shawna had over 400 guest attending their wedding, so they needed a lot of space! All day everyone was watching the weather to see if the rain would hold off, but it didn’t. About an hour before the ceremony it started raining, and it didn’t stop. Quick changes were made, fast rehearsals, we all helped move chairs and tables, and it turned out great.
Ben & Shawna are such a great couple, and they rolled with the punches perfectly. Their wedding day was beautiful, and we wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else!

The month of August has birthed a new idea of inspiring bides. Last month, vendors from the Central Illinois area put together mock table designs, flowers, hair do’s, and wedding gowns for brides to get a taste of some wonderful and new inspiration! We, Forward Motion, have been wanting to pour back into our soon-to-be brides and those who are just looking for inspiration by making blogs centered on designs, flowers, cakes, and others that we’ve seen at previous weddings of ours and online.
It just so happened that Pam Cooley asked us to be a part of this! Taking some of the top wedding pros in the area to do one thing: give local brides inspiration for their wedding, and to know they have all the resources to achieve this look at their own wedding; by the ones who made it!

It was four years ago when Keith and I had the concept for a video just like this.
In fact, four years ago I had some of these very images dancing around in my head.
A day in the life of a perfect little family. A family going through life’s seasons as God directs their every move. From little ones sleeping sound in their beds, to the small twists and turns they face throughout each day.
This idea was just waiting on one thing…
It wasn’t until late April of this year that I received an email from a dear friend.
She gave me insight on their life story as the two had trouble in the beginning of their marriage trying to conceive.
With every new detail of their story, the idea I had four years ago began to unfold.
She wanted a film that would capture their lives during their season of having “5 under 5.”
I was ecstatic. I had no doubt in my mind that the timing for this was going to be completely perfect. A wonderful testimony of how God created things to work in such perfect ways.
We showed up to film the Dakin family on a Wednesday. We filmed the small moments of just running around and being silly, to preparing for dinner and then eventually heading to bed once again. If you pay attention closely, you can hear the quiet breathing of a baby, and the soft prayers before dinner time. You can see the moments of a little boy battling with feeling “strong”, and the “pulse” of two ice cubes symbolizing new life.
Watch the beautifully unexpected outcome of this video become a new season in this family’s life.

What a fun wedding this was! After walking away from filming this full day shoot, Tiffany and I couldn’t believe how much fun this couple was. And to top it off, Brian and Jodi contacted us only ONE WEEK before their Chicago wedding! Thankfully we were able to make it work with our wedding the next day and even an engagement shoot that night in downtown Chicago.
This was our first Chicago wedding as Forward // Motion Production, and it was a blast! Brian and Jodi got ready at the beautiful Hyatt Regency downtown, followed by the Ceremony & Reception at the delicious Carnivale Restaurant.
After the wedding we were able to get some more shots of the city and then killed some time down at the Navy Pier where Tiffany really wanted to go on the Farris Wheel, but didn’t have time before filming an live engagement at the River East Art Center.
Jul 26, 2012
The couples we meet are incredible. Emily contacted us not long before their wedding hoping we were still available, and thankfully we were. Tiffany showed me their engagement video Steve made, and we fell in love ( Watch Here ). Talk about being original!
As you can already tell, Emily and Steve are one of a kind. We met with them at a local ice cream shop to talk over their wedding, and to get to know one another. We learned that the two are both totally in love, completely in love with their dogs, and love playing video games together and hanging out.
The love between the two is incredible, and is such an inspiration to us and we hope to all of you. We had such a great time filming their wedding, and are so happy for the two of them!
Enjoy their wedding trailer!

Sara O’Shea has been talking with us for awhile about putting together a video for her and her business, So Chic Events. We obviously couldn’t turn down the opportunity to tell the story of her very successful business, and to get a small glimpse into what they offer for weddings and events. Sara has been in the business for a long time, and is also the founder of Behind Every Bride, who issue 2 magazines every year, host multiple bridal shows, and has a very useful website (www.behindeverybride.com) for brides to find the perfect vendors for their weddings.
So Chic Events is one of the only event & wedding planners we know who has a design studio, located on Main Street in Morton, IL. They recently just re-designed the space and changed their branding, which is part of the reason for this video.
Tiffany going far and beyond to get her shot :) Thank God she’s small.
We highly suggest to any client or friend of ours to look into wedding & event planners. They are often over looked, but are one of the best investments you can make. So if you’re in the market, make sure to check out So Chic Events and get them booked before it’s too late!

This blog has taken awhile to be written, but all for good reasons. We’ve been super busy these past couple months, and it’s been tough to sit down and get to our blog.
Hoerr Nursery asked us to produced some online and commercial pieces. We’ve been talking since the beginning of this year figuring out all the things they want to highlight through video. A month ago we put together this video to showoff their AMAZING greenhouse they have at their store, which is currently in full swing. So many flowers, hanging baskets, water fountains, and more. If you’ve never been to Hoerr Nursery, you’re missing out. Tiffany went ahead and picked up a little something for ourselves while we were filming, too!
